A relationship records that one of your entities deals with an outside party in a given role. Relationships are managed in the Relationships section; the entity's KYB record shows a one-line summary of them and links across.
Before you start
- You need the Contributor, Editor, or Workspace Admin role.
- Check whether the party already exists: the forms search the register as you type, so you reuse the existing record instead of creating a second one.
Add a party and its first relationship
- Open Relationships in the sidebar and click Add party.
- In Party name, start typing. Matching parties from the register appear; pick one to link it instead of creating a duplicate. If nothing matches, keep typing and a new party is created with the name you enter.
- Add the party's own details: jurisdiction (picked from the country list, so "Malta" and "MT" resolve to the same party in the duplicate check), registration number, website.
- Optionally add the first relationship in the same step: the entity, the role (Customer, Downline, Supplier, PSP, EMI, Bank, Partner, or Other), and the account reference (a merchant ID, account number, or contract reference) if you have one. The role applies to that relationship; it can be chosen before the entity.
- Save. The party opens on its page with the relationship listed at the top.
Add a relationship to an existing party
- Open the party from the register, or from the entity's Corporate Overview tab: its Relationships line names the parties already linked and Manage in Relationships opens the register filtered to that entity.
- Click Add relationship, pick the entity and the role, and add the Since and Until dates or the account reference if you have them.
- Save. The relationship appears at the top of the party page, and the entity's Corporate Overview summary now counts it.
Each relationship is one entity in one role, so a party that is both a customer and a supplier of the same entity has two relationships.
Where the documents live
The documents belonging to a relationship live on the party page, under the relationship: Relationship documents (the agreement, an addendum, the fee schedule) and Counterparty KYB documents (the party's certificate of incorporation, licence, registers). Placeholders for the documents expected of that role appear the moment the relationship is saved, each with Upload and Request from party (a collection link the party uploads through, no account needed), plus Add relationship document and Add KYB document for anything else. See Documents on a relationship for the full walkthrough.
These documents are saved to the Relationships section, never to the entity's checklist, and they do not count toward the entity's KYB readiness.
Edit or remove
- Edit a relationship (the pencil on its row) to change its role, dates, or account reference. To change the party's own details (name, jurisdiction, registration number), use Edit on the party page, since those belong to every relationship the party has.
- Remove relationship takes the relationship off the entity. The confirmation states which documents on that relationship go with it; the party itself stays in the register.
