As a CSP firm you use the same KYB Manager tooling an operator would use on itself, applied to each client in that client's own workspace. This article walks through the working loop: build the KYB record, collect from the client, share to the bank.
Keep each client in its own workspace
Before doing anything else, make sure you are in the right workspace: check the workspace name in the sidebar switcher. Every document, person, and screening result you create lands in the workspace you are currently in, and workspaces are strictly isolated from each other. If a client company is missing from your switcher, contact the platform team (support@complywise.io) to have a workspace provisioned.
Build the client's KYB record
- Open KYB Manager and select the client company (each workspace is seeded with its primary entity).
- Work through the Business Docs tab: upload the documents you already hold, exactly as described in Upload documents into your KYB record.
- Record the ownership structure: UBOs, directors, and corporate shareholders, so the KYB record reflects who owns and controls the client.
- Mark anything genuinely inapplicable as N/A so the readiness score stays honest. Optional documents count only once you upload them, so an empty optional slot never holds a client's number down.
Collect missing documents from the client
Your client does not need a login to hand you documents. Create a collection link for the documents you still need and send it to your contact at the client: they open the link, upload the files, and each file lands in the right slot of the KYB record. You are notified when uploads arrive. Collection links can carry a note, can be emailed directly from ComplyWise, and can be revoked at any time.
Share the package with banks and partners
When the KYB record is ready, send it onward as a share link rather than a ZIP file: a permissioned, revocable link that shows the recipient the current state of the package. If a document is renewed later, the link stays current; there is no stale attachment to chase. See Share your KYB package.
Tips
- Repeat the loop per client. Switch workspace, then work; never collect one client's documents through another client's links.
- Watch expiries. ComplyWise alerts you before a client's documents lapse, so renewals become a collection link rather than a fire drill.
