The corporate structure chart

The structure chart draws the company's corporate group as a diagram: owners above, subsidiaries below, with ownership percentages on the connections. It's built from the same data as the ownership register, so keeping the register current keeps the chart current.

Where to find it

Open the entity and go to the Corporate Overview tab.
Under Ownership & management structure, the chart renders alongside the ownership register, with the current entity at the center.

Reading the chart

Owner nodes sit above the entity: individual shareholders and corporate parents, each labeled with its ownership percentage.
Subsidiary nodes sit below: entities this company owns, connected the same way.
Corporate owners and subsidiaries that exist as their own entities in ComplyWise are linked; click through to open their KYB records.

The chart is built from the ownership register, so to change what it shows, edit the register: see The ownership register.

Risk dots

Once screening has run, nodes carry a small risk dot colored by that party's risk band, so you can scan the whole group for concentrations of risk at a glance. A person or entity that hasn't been screened shows no dot. The detail behind a dot lives in the party's screening report, reachable from the ownership register.

Restricted nodes

If your account is scoped to specific entities, connected entities outside your scope still appear in the chart so the group's shape stays honest, but they render greyed and labeled Restricted: you can see that a connection exists, without the entity's name, ownership details, or readiness. To work with a restricted entity, ask a Workspace Admin to widen your access.

Download or file the chart

Above the chart, two actions sit side by side once the ownership register has something in it:

Download PDF renders the chart to a PDF on your own device. Nothing is stored.
Insert into Business Docs renders the same PDF and files it as a new version of the Corporate structure chart document. If the KYB record has no such slot yet, ComplyWise creates one, so the action always has somewhere to land.

Both need document-upload rights. The exported chart is laid out for the page rather than the screen, so names sit on one line and the on-screen Viewing marker is left out. The chart can also travel inside a document pack: see Export a document pack.
