Risk screening flagged someone, and the hit doesn't look like your subject at all, or the severity seems overblown.
"Severe · unconfirmed" doesn't mean guilty
An unconfirmed result only means a candidate match is waiting for your review; nothing is decided yet. Open the party's screening report, compare the data input against what is on the list (names, dates of birth, countries), and sign the run off as either confirmed or dismissed.
The hit is a false positive
Sign the run off as Dismissed as a false positive on the report page. Dismissing clears the verdict: the risk band drops accordingly, and the KYB record reflects it. The original screening run stays on record, so your audit trail keeps both the hit and your decision.
Too many weak candidates
If screening keeps surfacing low-quality name matches, your workspace's match threshold may be set low. An Workspace Admin can raise it under Workspace Settings > Screening; a higher threshold requires a stronger match before a candidate appears.
Will it come back on re-screen?
No. A candidate you dismissed stays dismissed on re-screen; you won't re-review the same false positive every cycle.
